Rocket Rally

Rocket Rally is a mash-tap race. Every player taps their phone as fast as they can to fire their rocket's thrusters, and the big screen shows all the rockets racing live across a starfield. It's pure chaos with zero prep, a perfect energy spike between heavier activities.

How players experience it

1. A synced "Get ready…" 3-2-1 countdown appears so everyone starts at the same instant.
2. The thrust button lights up. Players mash it as fast as possible. Every tap fires their thrusters, and the button shows their live tap count.
3. On the big screen, each player is a rocket streaking across a starfield. Rockets pull ahead based on how fast their player is tapping, with a live tally of who's racing.
4. When the race window ends, each phone locks in its final tap count and everyone looks up at the podium.

There's nothing to read or answer. It's all about fast fingers for the length of the window.

Setting one up as a host

Rocket Rally is about as simple as an activity gets. There's nothing to write:

• Pick a race window. This is how long the mash-fest lasts. You can choose 15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds (30 seconds is the default).
• That's it. Add it wherever the room needs a jolt of energy.

Scoring

A player's points equal their tap count. The more thrust they fire, the higher they place. Because points are just taps, they sum naturally for teams, so a team's score is simply everyone's taps added together. Tap counts are clamped to a humanly-possible rate, so nobody can score beyond what's physically tappable in the window.

Tips

• Great as a warm-up or a palate cleanser between quizzes or other thinking-heavy rounds.
• A shorter window (15-30s) keeps it punchy; a longer one gives stragglers more room to catch up, but can get tiring on the fingers.
• Play it up on the big screen. The live rocket race is the whole show, so make sure the room can see it.
