Survey

Survey is Tikroo's poll activity. You ask a question, offer a handful of options, and everyone picks the one they like, and there's no right or wrong answer. It's the fastest way to take the room's temperature, spark a discussion, or just get people clicking.

How players experience it

1. The question appears on their device, along with any image you've added.
2. A set of coloured answer tiles shows up underneath. The player taps the option that matches their view.
3. As votes come in, the tiles fill up to show the live results, so players can see how the room is leaning right there on their screen.

Because a Survey has no correct answer, nobody scores points for their choice. It's about opinion and participation, not winning, so it works well as an icebreaker or a quick pulse check between heavier rounds.

Setting one up as a host

A Survey is built just like a quiz question, minus the right answer:

• Write your question. You can also attach an image or media to give it context.
• Add your answer options. Each option gets its own colour. Use Add answers and Remove answers to get the number of choices you want.
• There's no "correct" toggle. Every option is simply a valid choice for participants.
• Pick how results are drawn on the big screen under the activity's settings. Survey defaults to Bars, and you can switch to Tiles, Donut, Pie, or Dots. The host can also change this live during the session.

Tips

• Keep options short and distinct. A poll reads best when each choice is a couple of words people can scan at a glance.
• Four options is a sweet spot. Enough variety without overwhelming the screen, though you can add more when you need them.
• Use it to open a conversation. Reveal the results, then ask the room why they voted the way they did. The split is often the most interesting part.
