Accounts & signing in

Who needs a Tikroo account, how to create one, sign in, and reset your password.

Do you need an account?

Only hosts, the people who build and run sessions, need a Tikroo account. Players don't need one: they just open your link, enter the PIN, and pick a nickname. There's nothing for them to sign up for or install.

So if you want to create a Roo and present it, you'll want an account. If you're only joining someone else's session, you can skip all of this. Head to Join a Roo with a PIN.

Creating an account

Go to tikroo.com and choose Sign up (or visit tikroo.com/register). You can create an account with:

  • your email and a password (you'll pick a password as you go, and there's a strength meter to help you choose a good one), or
  • a social sign-in option shown on the screen, if you'd rather not manage a password.

Once you're in, you can start building your first Roo. See Create your first Roo.

Signing in

Already have an account? Choose Log in (tikroo.com/login) and use the same method you signed up with, whether your email and password or the social option. Use the same one each time so you land back in the same account.

Forgot your password?

On the login screen, choose Forgot password (tikroo.com/forgot-password), enter your email, and we'll send you a link to set a new one. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and make sure you entered the address you signed up with.

(If you originally signed up with a social option rather than a password, sign in with that same option instead of resetting a password.)

Managing your account

Your account details live under Account settings once you're signed in. If you run into something you can't change there, reply here and a teammate can help.
