What is Tikroo?

Tikroo is a tool for running live, interactive sessions, from quizzes and polls to word clouds, games and content, that everyone in the room joins from their own phone. There's nothing to install: players open a link, type a PIN, and they're in.

A "Roo" is what you build

The thing you build in Tikroo is called a Roo. Think of it as one interactive session that holds everything: every question, poll, game and content screen, in the order you want to run them.

You'll see this word throughout the app: My Roos is your library, and Create a Roo starts a new one.

Activities are what's inside

Each screen inside a Roo is an activity. An activity might be:

• a quiz question that scores players,
• a poll or word cloud that gathers opinions,
• a game like Wheel, Rocket Race or Bamboozle,
• or a content screen, whether text, an image, a video, or an embedded presentation, to set up what comes next.

You mix and match activities in a single Roo, then run them one after another.

How a live session works

1. You build a Roo by adding and arranging activities.
2. You present it, and Tikroo shows a join screen with a PIN.
3. Players go to tikroo.com/join, enter the PIN, and pick a nickname.
4. You move through activities at your own pace. Players answer on their phones; results appear live on the shared screen.
